We serve as a Supervised Family Visitation Center to promote healing and encourage healthy connections.

When we first opened the doors at Fostering Community’s Prescott location, we wanted families to have a special place where they could create memories and begin the process of rebuilding relationships.

Previously, family visits were held at DCFS but we recognized that re-entering the DCFS building can be stressful for children and their families because of their circumstances.

We wanted to remove this stress and bring hope and healing to their time shared together.

We have facilitated 117 family visitations this year and over 300 visitations since we opened our doors four years ago!

The welcoming environment inside Fostering Community and our outdoor playground are the perfect place for parents to bond and make memories with their children. Hosting these visits gives us the opportunity to love on and encourage both their foster and their biological parents.

I have lost count of the amount of times that birth parents have thanked us. So many of them said "I wish I had a place like this to visit my mom when I was in foster care".

Stopping the generational cycle of foster care requires a collaborative team and holistic approach that starts with support. To reserve a time slot for a family visit, please have your caseworker schedule an appointment using this calendar.
